Capital One runs the smallest of the three big bank lounge networks in the US, but it is arguably the most premium per square foot. There are two formats. Capital One Lounges are full lounges with seating, food and drink. Capital One Landings are smaller dining-led spaces; the LaGuardia Landing, opened February 18, 2026, was built with José Andrés Group. Both formats follow the same access rules, which changed in a big way on February 1, 2026.

This guide covers every open location, who gets in, what guests cost now, how the Venture X card fits in, and when buying a pass makes sense. Locations and hours are from Capital One’s own lounge guide; access rules are from Capital One Travel’s lounge access guide. Both were checked Oct 21, 2026.

Who gets into a Capital One Lounge

Capital One’s rules sort visitors into four groups.

Children under two get in free with a supervising parent or guardian, and guests under 18 must be with an adult.

Guest rules after February 1, 2026

Before February 2026, Venture X cardholders could bring guests free. That ended. Now each guest a Venture X cardholder brings costs $45 (18 and over) or $25 (17 and under), with children under two free. The exception is spend: primary cardholders who spend at least $75,000 on purchases across their Venture X account in a calendar year can bring up to two complimentary guests to Capital One Lounges and one to Capital One Landings per visit. Capital One says this also applies to additional cardholders who paid the $125 fee, and that it does not apply to Priority Pass lounges. The Points Guy reports the benefit covers the year you hit $75,000 and the following calendar year.

In Priority Pass lounges, Venture X guests cost $35 each under the new policy, while Venture X Business cardholders keep two free Priority Pass guests, according to The Points Guy.

Lounge or Landing: what is the difference?

Capital One Landings are not mini-lounges in the usual sense. The LaGuardia Landing is a 12,500-square-foot dining space on one of Terminal B’s skybridges, built with José Andrés Group, with a Spanish-inspired menu of tapas, cocktails, wines and coffee, plus floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Manhattan skyline, according to the airport operator’s opening announcement. Access rules are the same as for a full Lounge: Venture X primary cardholders get in free, Venture and Spark Miles cardholders pay $45, and other travelers pay $90, all with a same-day boarding pass within three hours of departure and subject to space. The practical difference is the guest benefit for big spenders: the $75,000 spend unlock gives one free guest at a Landing versus two at a Lounge.

Five mistakes that get people turned away

Is a $90 pass worth it?

For a traveler with no Capital One card, $90 buys up to three hours before a departing flight. That is a lot for a single visit, and it is more than many independent lounges charge. It can make sense on a long weekday layover at JFK (open 24 hours) or before a red-eye from Las Vegas, where the lounge stays open until 11 p.m. For anyone visiting more than once or twice a year, the Venture X card ($395 annual fee, per Capital One) changes the math, because the primary cardholder gets in free and also gets Priority Pass access to more than 1,300 lounges.

The bigger question is geography. With five lounges and two Landings, Capital One only helps if you fly through Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas or New York. Check your airport page before treating Capital One access as a deciding factor.
