Priority Pass is the largest independent lounge network, and in the US it fills the gaps between airline clubs and the bank-branded lounges. It is also the network most people misread: a Priority Pass card does not get you into “the lounges” at an airport, it gets you into the specific third-party lounges that have signed up, subject to space on the day. This guide lists every lounge at the 30 busiest US airports that our sources confirm takes Priority Pass, with where it is, what we know about hours, and when we last checked it.

The list below is built from our own lounge database (279 lounges at the top 30 airports). A lounge is only tagged Priority Pass when the source for that lounge says it accepts Priority Pass. That keeps the list conservative: if a lounge is missing, it is because we could not confirm it, not because we guessed it out. Use the airport links to see every other lounge at the same airport, including the ones Priority Pass does not cover.

How Priority Pass works in the US

Priority Pass sells three direct plans. Standard costs $99 a year and charges $35 for each member visit. Standard Plus costs $329 a year, includes 10 free member visits, then charges $35 a visit. Prestige costs $469 a year with unlimited member visits. On all three plans each guest costs $35 per visit. Priority Pass says lounge access is subject to space availability and that pre-booking is available at select locations for a small fee.

Most Americans do not buy a plan directly; they get Priority Pass Select through a premium credit card. Chase says Sapphire Reserve cardmembers can use more than 1,300 Priority Pass lounges with up to two guests free of charge, entering within three hours of departure. Capital One says Venture X primary cardholders get access to more than 1,300 Priority Pass lounges. Since February 1, 2026, Venture X guests in Priority Pass lounges cost $35 each, according to The Points Guy’s summary of the new policy. Venture X Business cardholders still get two free Priority Pass guests under the same summary.

One point that catches people out: card-issued memberships do not always include the Priority Pass restaurant credits. The Points Guy reports that Chase removed the restaurant benefit in July 2024 and Capital One removed it for personal Venture X cardholders at the start of 2023. Our list below covers lounges only.

What the numbers show

Priority Pass coverage is uneven. DFW, MCO, MIA, SFO, BOS, IAD each have three or more confirmed Priority Pass lounges in our data, mostly foreign-airline lounges in international terminals plus The Club and Plaza Premium. Several very large hubs have little or nothing: Atlanta, Denver and Phoenix have no confirmed Priority Pass lounge in our dataset even though Priority Pass lists locations at those airports, which usually means a restaurant or non-lounge experience, or a lounge we could not verify. Our data shows 11 of the 30 airports with no confirmed Priority Pass lounge at all.

The practical lesson: check the terminal, not just the airport. Many Priority Pass lounges in the US are airline lounges for international carriers (Air France, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic). They often keep hours tied to that airline’s departures, and some restrict Priority Pass entry at peak times. A lounge in Terminal B does nothing for you if you fly out of Terminal D and cannot reach it airside.

Independent lounges that take Priority Pass

Outside airline lounges, the US Priority Pass footprint at big airports is mostly made up of a few independent operators:

These lounges tend to be the busiest Priority Pass locations because they serve domestic flyers in every terminal they sit in. If you travel at peak times, the pre-book option Priority Pass offers at select locations is worth checking before you leave home.

Is Priority Pass worth paying for?

If you only want lounge access a few times a year, the arithmetic is simple. Standard at $99 plus $35 per visit costs $134 for one visit and $239 for four. Standard Plus at $329 covers ten visits, so it only beats Standard once you make more than six visits a year. Prestige at $469 makes sense only for frequent flyers who use lounges more than about ten times a year, and only if their home airports actually have Priority Pass lounges.

That last part matters more than the price. Start from your home airport: open its page on this site, check which lounges are confirmed Priority Pass, and check whether they sit in the terminal you fly from. For many travelers a card that bundles Priority Pass Select with a bank-branded lounge network (Chase Sapphire Lounges or Capital One Lounges) is better value than a stand-alone plan. Our lounge access cheat sheet compares what each card unlocks at the top 30 airports.
